Raka is located in the narrow valley of the Kleinriver Mountains, the southernmost mountain range in Africa.

The winery was named after the black fishing boat of the owner Piet Dreyer. Piet's first great love has always been the sea and for 36 years he braved the cape storms and challenges of the coast, always in search of the best catch. The Dreyer family has been pursuing the art of winemaking with the same passion since 2002. With a wine portfolio that is brimming with prizes and awards on both the domestic and international stage, Raka has made a name for itself as a producer of superb wines of the highest quality.
