Quinta do Ribeiro Santo - Prämiertes Weingut in Portugals Dão Region

Winemaker and owner Carlos Lucas acquired the wine farm and restored the property with a lot of passion and know-how, with the aim of producing wines with their own, unmistakable personality. This is wonderfully evident in wines such as Ribeiro Santo Tinto and Ribeiro Santo Reserva Tinto, made from the grape varieties typical of the Dão region, such as Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro and Tinta Roriz, which thrive on rather lean granite soils with large outcrops of rock.
The name Quinta do Ribeiro Santo ("Holy River") has its origins in the fact that this ancient land once belonged to the local priest and was surrounded by a river all year round. The vineyards of Quinta do Ribeiro Santo are cultivated holistically using sustainable and organic viticulture methods.
Quinta do Ribeiro Santo is part of the Magnum Vinhos project. This project was initiated by three experienced and talented winemakers. Initially from different origins, Carlos Lucas, Lúcia Freitas and Carlos Rodrigues have been working together successfully to produce top quality, award-winning wines since 2005.
The combination of experience, know-how and passion of the three winemakers form the basis for this successful project, which has its roots and headquarters in the Dão region, but also includes the production of wines in the Alentejo and Douro region. The aim of this project is to bring out the best of each region in the wines - respect for the terroir, tradition and the typical characteristics of the grape varieties are essential.
