The family winery Quinta da Pousada is located in Portugal in the sub-region of Vale do Ave, in the heart of the Vinho Verde region. The 15 hectare vineyard owned by José Areal has a total area of 6 hectares of vineyards and is run with passion and love for wine by the Areal family. The winery's portfolio includes the Quinta da Pousada Areal Rosé as well as the fresh Vinho Verde Quinta da Pousada Areal Colheita Seleccionada Branco, made from the typical grape varieties of the region: Alvarinho, Arinto, Loureiro and Trajadura. The Vinho Verde region is largely dominated by the strong influence of the Atlantic Ocean, which creates its own microclimate in the Vale do Ave sub-region, which is particularly noticeable in the vineyards of the Quinta da Pousada. The temperatures of this area are not extreme, which results in a mild climate. The winery's vineyards have a modern planting system that ensures a more uniform and harmonious ripening of the grapes, producing wines of significant quality.
