The family winery Monte do Álamo is located in the heart of Portugal's Alentejo region in S.Miguel de Machede, one of the most beautiful plains between Évora and Evoramonte. For more than 30 years the 1000 ha of cultivated land, 32 ha of which are planted with vines, has been cultivated by the Noronha Mendes de Almeida family. Under the direction of cellar master Paulo Laureano and oenologist Filipe Sevinate Pinto, the internationally award-winning and highly endowed portfolio of first-class wines such as the Etc. Tinto and the Etc. Branco. The wine region of Évora is one of the oldest wine-growing areas in Portugal, whose history dates back to the beginnings of Portugal. Historical evidence bears witness to the first-class quality and the unmistakable character of these wines. Of the 32 hectares of vineyards, 27 hectares are planted with red varieties such as Periquita, Trincadeira, Aragonez and Tinta Caiada, and 5 hectares with white varieties such as Arinto, Rabo de Ovelha, Roupeiro and Tamarez. Winemaker Filipe Sevinate Pinto belongs to the young and new generation of Portugal's oenologists. With passion and dedication to his profession, he has gained valuable experience internationally in his field and since 2009 has been an integral part of Monte do Álamo.
