La Bri Estate - Boutique Weingut in Franschhoek, Südafrika
Located in the heart of Franschhoek Valley, South Africa, the historic boutique winery La Bri Estate, under the ownership of Robin Hamilton and the oenological direction of winemaker Irene Waller, offers an excitingly distinctive and award-winning portfolio of world-class wines, which includes some of the world's finest wines. The portfolio includes varietal wines such as La Bri Merlot, La Bri Syrah and La Bri Chardonnay, as well as the Bordeaux-style cuvée La Bri Affinity.
La Bri's history is as exciting as its wines themselves and today it is an integral part of South Africa's cultural wine history. The 50 ha farm was granted to Huguenot settlers in 1694 and is one of the oldest Franco-Huguenot vineyards in the Franschhoek Valley (Franschhoek = French corner).
Three centuries on, this ultra-modern and passionate winery continues to impress wine connoisseurs and wine lovers worldwide with its award-winning and celebrated wines of unmistakable style. On the winery's bottle labels, each grape variety carries its own Cape Flora flower as a symbol of the essential essence of each wine - a fantastic way to express the deep connection to the earth of South Africa and its historic roots not only in the wine but also on the bottle label, creating a balance for all the senses!
