Jason's Hill Private Cellar - Preisgekröntes Weingut in Südafrikas Breedekloof Region
Jason's Hill Private Cellar is a family-run winery located in the Breede River Valley in the small wine-growing community of Rawsonville, covering 100 hectares and has been run by the Du Toit family of winemakers for five generations. However, it was to take six generations before the first own wine was to be produced. When daughter Ivy demonstrated a tremendous talent for producing first class wines, the family did not hesitate long to add the present winery to the farm in 2002. Ivy Du Toit's award-winning and successful wine portfolio, which includes classic Bordeaux-style red wine Cuvee, Izak Reserve, as well as pure Merlot, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon, has found passionate followers and success among wine lovers worldwide.
The Du Toit family named their winery after an old shepherd named Jason, who tended his sheep on the farm for many years. Rawsonville is a small wine growing and farming community in the Breede River Valley in South Africa's Western Cape Province. The village is part of the official Breede River Valley wine region and is situated in a picturesque part of the valley on the eastern flanks of the Du Toitskloof Mountains, where Jason's Hill performs its magic in wine craftsmanship.
