Hidden Valley is the culmination of years of determined patience. With this, owner Dave Hidden, winemaker by profession but entrepreneur by nature, has fulfilled his long-standing dream.

The remote farm, nestled in the mountains of Stellenbosch, boasts a magnificent new wine cellar set amidst the estate's picturesque vineyards. Dave Hidden was introduced to this spot of land in the late seventies by his then Professor of Viticulture. Pointing out that this land was one of the best vineyard sites in South Africa, Dave heeded his professor's 20-year-old remark and purchased the land in 1998. Hidden Valley is uniquely positioned for the production of premium wines, in the two very different terroirs of Stellenbosch and Elim. The essence of the wines lies precisely in these locations and the special microclimates in which the grapes for Hidden Valley wines thrive. The vineyards in Stellenbosch are located at high altitudes, which are pampered by cool ocean breezes of the Atlantic Ocean. Owner Dave Hidden's aim is to create wines that are fruit-specific and reflect their terroir of origin in a fantastic way.

Winemaker Emma Moffat is responsible for the winery's wine production, with an award-winning wine portfolio that includes a Pinotage, a Sauvignon Blanc and two outstanding red cuvées; all of which are, of course, covered with the twinkling of numerous stars from South Africa's famous Platters Wine Guide!
