Herdade da Farizoa - The Alentejo has exceptional light with warm sunshine; this sunlight is very valuable, especially in the quarter before the harvest season. Annual rainfall is low, around 400mm, and is concentrated mainly in the winter months. These conditions, combined with the slate and clay soils, cause the grapes to ripen slowly, the accumulation of sugar and concentration of colorants in the skin.
Herdade da Farizoa is located in the northeastern side of the Alentejo, and is part of the Borba sub-region, one of the three that comprise the Alentejo production area. The vineyard produces excellent wines made from the various Alentejo grape varieties, with ruby red colour, intense aromas of red fruits and a long finish.
