Adega Cooperativa de Sabrosa
Adega Cooperativa de Sabrosa is a cooperative winery founded in 1958 by a small group of winegrowers. Since then, through cooperation and mutual support, it has always held a firm place throughout fluctuations in the market and economy.
Adega Cooperativa de Sabrosa produces award-winning and honoured wines, as well as port wines made from high quality grapes from the Douro region under the Loreto port label and the Fernão de Magalhães wine range. The cooperative is located in the municipality of Sabrosa in the upper Corgo sub-region of the Alto Douro wine region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With more than 500 winegrowers as members, the highest international quality standards are met here to meet the demands of the markets. The high quality of the wines results on the one hand from the use of traditional grape varieties of the region and the altitude of the vineyards and on the other hand from the professionalism and commitment of all those involved. The winery is equipped with the most modern technology and thus skilfully combines modernity and tradition - a recipe with success all along the line!
